Ethics of the Decoder.
The Propaganda Decoder is an educational interface. Its purpose is sovereign perception — not accusation. These are the guardrails.
The Decoder analyzes mechanisms of persuasion. It never labels a person as brainwashed, gullible, or unintelligent. Being influenced is human.
Every side uses these tactics. The Decoder identifies structure, not ideology. It will not tell you what to believe.
In relationship, cult, or political modes, the Decoder describes patterns in language — not diagnoses of individuals. "This message contains patterns associated with…" — never "this person is a narcissist."
Manipulation can live inside partly true messages. The Decoder identifies persuasion architecture; it does not verify every factual claim.
"Appears to," "may indicate," "resembles," "could function as." The Decoder avoids absolute claims unless clearly supported.
A person does not need to be foolish to be affected by these tactics. They only need to be human, exposed to mechanisms that operate beneath conscious awareness.
The enemy is not the person who was manipulated. The enemy is the mechanism of manipulation.
